Loc Detox Trio Kit—Soak & Deep Cleanse—The deep cleansing you never knew your locs needed!

For all you healthy lockers who already have the conditioning mists and oils, you can just add this kit to your loc care regimen, at discounted pricing, to get the deep cleaning your locs need and deserve. This special kit is the scaled-down version of the Loc Detox Transformation & Maintenance Kit and would be considered parts 1 & 2 of that kit. It only includes the core products that provide the detoxing soak and deep cleansing shampoo bars for your locs. These are the same products I use in my salon to create a truly transformative deep cleansing for locs! The detox bombs and shampoo bars are hand-crafted and have been created to be gentle enough for the smallest of locs like micros, interlocks, and Sisterlocks(tm) and are just as effective on larger and thicker locs too.

Since the mists and oils are not included in this kit, it is very important that you follow up your loc detox and deep cleansing with a deep conditioning oil treatment and keep your locs hydrated and lightly oiled. You can check out the oils and mist here...

How To Use

Step 1 - The Soak

• Fill a sink, basin, or inflatable shampoo bowl with hot water.
• Drop the Loc Detox Bomb into the water and let it dissolve. When the temperature cools enough, submerge and soak locs in the detox solution for 15-20 minutes.
• During this time, manipulate the locs by squeezing, releasing, and sloshing the locs while submerged.
• Use a cup or small bowl to scoop the detox solution and pour it over the hairline and scalp. Squeeze and manipulate the locs at the scalp to encourage solution penetration. The water may become “murky” as the buildup within the locs starts to break down and release from your locs. Rinse thoroughly.
• Step 2 - A deep cleansing with the ACV Clarifying Shampoo bar and rinse. This shampoo will continue to remove buildup within your locs even if it doesn't produce a lot of lather. The foaming agents can't foam in the presence of a lot of dirt and build up. Use the scalp massager during this shampoo to help clear the scalp of all buildup. No hard rubbing needed. The detox bomb and the clarifying shampoo are doing all the hard work, plus you don't want to overstimulate and irritate the scalp. Use very small circular motions throughout the scalp. Rinse thoroughly.
• Final shampoo with one of the conditioning bars in the HealthyLocs System (Lavender Swirl with Buttermilk or Mandarin Shea Explosion) . A bountiful foaming lather will be produced during this shampoo. This signifies that your locs have become free of the buildup. Rinse thoroughly.
• Towel-dry locs with a microfiber towel or absorbent paper towels and let air-dry for at least an hour before “Dry-Conditioning” with a mist and oil combination.
• Step 3 - Condition with Mists & Oils. Generously spray mist along the length of your locs while lifting and separating them so that the conditioning mist reaches all areas of the locs. Apply one of the conditioning oils to your locs in the same fashion. Squeeze and stroke the mist and oil down the length of your locs. For a deeper conditioning, cover your locs with a plastic cap and sit under a warm/hot dryer for 15-20 min. Do not rinse.
